Keeping Your Home Secure - ADT Home Security
By David Johnson
It doesn’t matter where you live, feeling safe in your own at all times is important to everyone. You don’t want to trust your family’s safety to an unreliable company. One of the most trusted sources of security systems is ADT which has been in business for over 130 years.

ADT has over 5 million subscribers all over the United States who benefit from 24-hour security protection against burglaries, fires, carbon monoxide, and other medical emergencies. The services of ADT cover both your family’s personal safety as well as the house itself.

ADT provides their basic protection packages for as low as $32.99 a month. You can purchase additional protection from a customized system. Basic ADT security systems require a Master Control panel, a keychain remote, 3 window/door sensors, a motion detector, a built in siren, and a yard sign with additional window

stickers stating coverage.

A licensed technician will install wireless sensors with battery backups inside and around the home. These sensors provide a wide range of protection for you and your family. If one of these sensors is activated it sends electronic signals to one of five command monitoring centers located in America. These centers are placed strategically to ensure vital live contact in the event of an emergency.

Once the command center receives a signal they verify the emergency and then contact the necessary local authorities. These state of the art detectors can tell the difference from an animal and human body heat, as well as if there is an intruder on the property.

The most important feature in an ADT security system is the panic button that every alarm comes with. This button allows you to summon the local police, paramedics, or fire department.

There is also a feature “stay” that offers adequate coverage while in the and the “away” feature that offers coverage while not in the home. Even if you feel safe in your already ADT can save you up to 20% on your homeowner’s insurance policy.
